Moving 'My Documents' directory to another disk partition?

I have my hard drive partitioned into drive C and D and
while I have my software and XP installed onto C would
like to store all my documents and data onto the larger D
drive. To do this I would want the map the windows
directory called 'My Documents' to the D drive and have
it recognised as the default location by my software when
saving.

Is this possible and how can I do it?

Thanks,

Sam

Right click on My Documents and go to "Move". make sure you have created the
"My Documents" folder on the D drive first.

QED!

Hi, One of the best ways to do it is to use TweakUI for Windows XP.

Windows XP PowerToys (TweakUI)

From your Desktop window, right-click on the MY DOCUMENTS icon,
select Properties > Move
