Hi.

How do I move the contents of a cell elsewhere, without changin
formulas that reference that cell? (Or how do I change the formulas s
they always reference a certain cell?)

[We are using Excel as a sort of database (not my idea), and a3 of eac
worksheet has the most recent entry. Each week, the secretary cuts an
pastes to move the entries down, but she then has to change all th
formulas so that they once again reference a3 and not the cell.]

Thanks a lot

Hi

if i understand you correctly adding $ makes a cell reference absolute
therefore =$A$3 will always refer to A3 no matter where you copy & paste it
to on the sheet
