Hello,
There is a possibility...there is an entry in the XP registry that can get
screwed up resulting in the problem you describe. I wrote a small program
that will enable you to correct that issue (If it really is your problem)
The program is called FixIt and is available on my website...when you get
to the opening svreen choose the option to go to the OLD WEBSITE and go to
the downloads section.
Start the program and write down the value for the drive....you need that
if you want to go back to it later....using the options set your drive to
the type you believe it should be. Reboot your machine and try it
out.....if all fails simply return the entry to the one first shown.
