Hi. I am trying to, using Windows Movie Maker v.2, edit a
video I shot, up the video quality so my lips don't look
like I am lip synching, and burn it to a CD or DVD. Right
now, whenever I try to click on any part of the
storyboard, the program just closes completely. It is
very frustrating. I have called Tech Support many times,
spending total 4-6 hours with them and the problems just
keep getting worse. First, I was trying just to get it to
a CD, but it kept saying that it couldn't burn it because
the files were in different places and other things.
Sometimes, for no reason at all, my CPU usage shot us
from 10-30% to 100%. Then, Movie Maker would stop
resonding and I would have to restart the entire program
without getting the chance to save. I guess I started to
take the file recovery system for granted, because this
happened at least 10 times in the hours I spent editing
it. I never really got that problem solved, all I do is
keep Task Manager open so I can monitor my CPU usage.
After that, while talking to Microsoft Tech Suport, I
downloaded ACE mega Codecs pack v.5.93, that the Tech
Support guy said would work. Well, it actually coruppted
my Movie Maker file so I couldn't open it again. Somehow,
I was once again able to at least open my file, but with
some restrictions. When I tried to click on any
storyboard icon or play any thing, the whole program
dissapears. I have no idea why. Then Tech Support said to
download a file converter so I could at least play my
video on another program, ie. Media Player, Quick Time.
Nothing works. When I try to convert it, it says that it
doesn't recognize the file or it can't work w/ it. I
thought the Codec pack was supposed to fix that. Oh well.
Sorry for it being so long, but I had a ton of problems.
