move dynamic disk from Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2003 Server

Hello,

I'm attempting to move a dynamic disk from Windows Server 2000 to Windows
2003 Server that is currently on our SAN. When I rescan for new partitions
on the Windows 2003 server the disk shows up with the proper disk space but
shows up as an unknown disk. I do not get the option to import the dyanmic
disk, only to format it. I need to import this disk so I don't loose any
data and it's a rather large partition (820 GB). Any reason why I can't
import the dynamic disk from Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2003 Server?
