Environment: WinXP Pro/SP2 with a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
Suddenly, when the mouse position is idle for more than about 10 seconds it
is as if the mouse goes to sleep. If I Left Click the mouse it wakes up at
the position it was left at? I didn't (intentionally) change any settings?
Any thoughts on exatly what setting is causing this? I looked through
ControlPanel/Mouse and don't see anything that applies?

Wayne

Try removing the batteries and reinserting. It worked for me once.

David;

This mouse has a rechargable battery but your suggestion got me to thinking
about the wireless connection. I changed channels used and now it seems to
be working fine? Go figure!

Plug in a standard mouse and see if you still have the problem. If not,
then contact the maker of your mouse/keyboard for the fix. Or perhaps,
you may have to rid your system of spyware etc.

Changing batteries turns it on or off. As changing batteries is the only time the mouse cold boots. I suspect they built in multiple functions into the firmware which all but one is unused and a cold boot sometimes boots up in power saving mode.
