I have a Microsoftwireless optical mouse and have had it
work on my amd 1800 computer fine. Recently the mouse
cursor will jump to the corner of the screen right in the
middle of using the mouse. I thought it was perhaps a
virus, but I have scanned the system with Norton (update
11/5/03. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Try changing your mouse pad. It could be that simple.
