I've just got outlook 2007 as pat of a general roll out at work
On the calendar view on the left hand side there is the vertical suite of as
installed calendar, calendar items and my calendar. At the bottom of this is
a series of "how to....?"
These "How to ?" take up space that I used to have for a 2nd, vertically
aligned, month. I'd like to turn off / hide the "how to ...?" and have a
second month displayed below the one at the top as before.

I know I can adjust the width and sequence of this left hand bar but have
yet to see a way of turing OFF the ?helpful? how to...?.

No, those can't be turned off.
