The Deluxe comes with Serial ATA, 1394 connectors, 2 LAN ports, Soundstorm
audio with SPDIF output. Also the deluxe uses Ultra400 chipset, i think at X
or X-X or both are just plain vanilla DDR400. You don't need the Deluxe
unless you are interested in the extra features.
I suggest you should also look at MSI and Gigabyte boards, they are just as
good as if not better than Asus, and you will save a few bucks for the same
spec.
