Missing Volume Label

Win 2000 Server reports blank volume name on our single
hard drive server in Computer Management/Storage/Disk
Management details screen. Data is: Volume - blank;
Layout - partition; Type - Basic.

Using Win Explorer, Volume name (at root) is xxxxxx in
folders window.

Problem is when a new program using MSI installer, the
program tries to write it's temp file to a directory and
Win2000 reports a delayed write error and is unable to
write setup files, etc. to the appropriate TEMP directory.

The directory it tries to write to is
\Device\HardDiskVolume1\WINNT\TEMP\"program supplied temp
file".

Any suggestions on changes??

Thanks,
Don
