I've installed the game, as well as Director 9.0b as it
said it required it. The game won't work and the error
message says: "Could not start graphics. Please check
that you're in 32bpp mode and you have a DX9-class video
driver"

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or should I just give
up and un-install the game...

What video card do you have in your computer? Is it one the game supports?
Have you installed the latest video drivers for that card?

We can further help you to specifics on your computer if you can reply to
this post and paste a DXDIAG.txt in the reply

dxdiag:
Click on Start -> Run and type 'dxdiag' in the run box, then click 'Ok'.
When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appears click the 'Save All
Information' button, which will create a text file on your system where you
specify, as in My Documents or Desktop. Open that text file, copy the
contents and paste it to a reply.
