Messenger Plus!

I may be one of the few people who has Messenger Plus! set as 'ignore' in
Anti-Spyware - but that's for historical reasons, and I don't use it, but
want to keep it.
Whenever I do a full system scan, MSAS complains at me about it, and
correctly interprets my preferred action as 'ignore' - and then when I close
MSAS, it insists on trying to clean it anyhow, by closing all IE windows,
and going through whatever spurious routine it does - which does absolutely
nothing!!

is this really necessary??

This should be fixed in beta2.

Have you tried "always ignore" as opposed to "ignore."

Yes (just now<g>) - and when I did, it again asked to close all IE windows
prior to cleaning the system (I hadn't even scanned!!)

I've seen a post here stating that even though it asks you to close all
windows, it doesn't actually kill IE when no cleaning is happening.

I've never dared test that, and haven't had the opportunity since I read
that post.

It didn't - but that was because I didn't let it (clicked No).... and I just
went back, and the Ignore option was still selected, so chose Always Ignore,
with one IE window open - clicked OK through, and IE didn't close. Now
scanning again, so I'll see what pops up this time (could be a while....)

Good. If my experience with VNC is any guide, it may come up again--either
the app changes or the detection changes, and you get re-alerted.
