media player 9 error!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys When I try to copy from music cds into my media
player i get a error msg of

"Windows Media Player encountered an error when reading
the CD-ROM drive in digital mode. You can try to use
digital mode again, or you can switch the Player to analog
mode."

what is up with this?? never happened before.
