I have to agree. Am having exactly the same problem with a customers computer
which has an Asus M2V mobo with onboard Realtech sound chip. When I install
the Realtech whql drivers the sound works until reboot and then drivers
revert to vistas own hd audio which dont work !!. Customer does not want to
change to XP so I only have one other option which is to fit a sound card
free of charge and hope that will work.
JOIN THE EVER GROWING NUMBER OF PEOPLE SAYING VISTA = WASTE OF TIME.
