Hi,

Like a lot of people, I have had problems with McAfee's online Clinic
VirusScan update which installed what is called a "script stopper" and a
"wormstopper". I think its the "wormstopper" that stops all e-mail being
received or sent. I have disabled both extensions and have downloaded the
two files from McAfee's site that are supposed to fix the problem, only they
don't, ie every time I reboot the PC, the "wormstopper" programme, ie
MCVSESCN.exe is activated meaning I have to manually delete it in the task
manager. I have a firewall which stops the process from running and blocking
my e-mail but I would like to find a way of permanently killing it. Apart
from suggesting I buy new AV software, does anyone have any ideas on the
subject ?

Thanks
