when I conect an additional slave hardrive the system
when rebooted shows the new drive letter in Win xp.
However Xp tells me that it has found the hard drive and
requires driver. it then cant find any. If I click past
this it tells me that the hardware may not work
correctly. Every thing works o.k though only problem is
that it the then keeps telling me that i need a driver
every time i reboot which is a pain. I contactd Maxtor
who inform me that XP should be able to load no problem.
I spoke to an IT engineer I know who seems to think that
there is a path fo this. Looked in knowledge base and
cant find one ...... anyone any ideas please

I installed a new 40GB Maxtor drive as a slave. It works
fine except when I boot up I get the "Cannot Install This
hardware" message. It even recognizes it as a Maxtor
6E040L0. It also says the "specified service does not
exist as an installed service".

The device manager has the yellow ! through the disk
name.

Any ideas?
