I've been reading about MaxConnectionsPerServer for DLS and Internet
Explorer 6.1. My goodness, the range of values are from 2 to 124!
Almost all tweak sites are recommending values higher than the
defaults. I've tried 4 to 5 combinations and seem to get the best
results with values between 10 and 20. I've been unable to find
guidance on these values from this highly regarded site. So my
question is ... is there are preferred value for DSL with SBC-Yahoo?
Thanks in advance.

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010

This is the number of concurrent downloads you can do from one site. The
default is 2 as per the RFC. There is no right or optimum value. Do you need
to download 10 things at a time from a particular site? If so then set it to
10. If you never do more than 2 at a time, then just leave it alone. The
point of this value is so that no single user can put an undue load on the
server.
