My machine will hibernate or standby if I ask it to. It seems to work fine
but then after about 5 seconds the machine just starts up again like I turned
it back on. It restarts from the hibernate or standby. What is going on?
It is very nice to use the standby and I would miss it if I have to shutdown
all the time.

Thanks for any help.

Confused by the reply? What did you mean? Need more detail. How do I view
logs?

Seems something is waking the machine up, so the objective is to
determine what you have set to wake the machine. Some things are Network
interface, modem, mouse, keyboard, scheduled tasks. You will need to
examine these areas as well as the BIOS setting as that may also be
causing the issue.
