Hi guys,

I downloaded, installed and ran the Microsoft AntiSpyware
beta. When it compelted the scan and the recomended
actions, the Antispyware said I needed to re-boot. So, I
did.

Unfortunately, the system shut down and did not restart.
So, I started manually, and when my desktop came up I had
three error messages: 1) Mobile Device Properties- TCP/IP
network transport not installed. 2) No Help File- unable
to locate help file. Perhaps you should re-install. 3) Run
DLL- Error loading C:\windows\system32\st\bdist.dll the
specified module could not be found.

After I clicked through these errors, I found that I
couldn't connect to the Internet and the Antispyware beta
wouldn't launch.

Does anyone know how I can fix these issues??

Thanks,
keith

I'd suggest reverting to the most recent restore point and see if that
helps.

I'm with codemastr.

If you are on XP, use the System Restore feature to restore to a restore
point prior to taking the removal actions.

Start, All programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

This is Beta software, for testing and evaluation only.

Just because it "recommends" that you remove certain files, that does not
mean that you should do so, or that it is wise to do so.

Deleting arbitrary files from your operating system will cause problems of
the sort that you have noted.

Hi, I tried to do system restore to a day prior to the
removal fo the files by the spyware program and it did
not work, after the system reboots it says that no
changes were made to the system so it does not do a
restore....

Any other suggestions, I have no connection to the
Internet, even through VPN.....

Thanks, Mesh

I had the same problem when using this program. Instead
of deleting the file you mentioned though, it deleted an
sporder.dll file, which must have a role in opening any
program for windows, because I could not open anything or
access the internet (even for technical support). The way
I went about fixing the problem was going through system
restore and setting it back one day, this fixed my
problem after rebooting.

Can you try this program, which fixes disruptions to the Winsock LSP's:
