Loss of Mouse

I am Running Windows Vista 64 Premium Home Edition and I keep losing the
mouse during gaming, this is very annoying when your in the middle of
Battlefield 2142. Is this a popular problem, a power issue or something else,
is it conflict issue. When I plug my mouse into my Z boards USB hub both the
mouse and keyboard goes off. Please help.
