When I log off my user account it freezes my computer and I need to reboot
it. Why?

Also, it will only allow two accounts to be open at any one time. Why?

Thanks sooo much

Causes for this vary and they can be software or driver related. It will
take some effort and detective work on your part to uncover the cause on
your system. To help you with this process, see the troubleshooting guides
for XP shutdown problems at this site:

What is "it"? Fast User Switching? From the MS Knowledge Base
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=294739)

The Fast User Switching feature may not work if there is not enough
available computer resources to create a new Winlogon service thread. In
this case, some users must log off the computer, or you must close some
programs to free up computer resources.

You're welcome, Dave.

Any PC, new or old, can suffer from a shutdown problem. New computers often
ship with a slew of OEM support programs and other extras - most of these
are configured to run at startup. Often just going through those programs
and disabling their automatic startup can work miracles. Well, give a
performance boost anyhow. And if one or more of them are badly behaved,
they don't shutdown gracefully, you might get rid of your shutdown problem
as well.
