Hi,

I have a problem in one computer, i have a bcm remote client in one computer
and cant connect to the server it gives always that error, that the local
password is diferent from the remote.

Both windows XP
Tried to change the username on the target computer and the password, and
added that new username and the password and also gives that error.

I have another client but in windows Vista, that when i started to install
also gave that error but then it worked fine.

I can use shared files to and from the remote server, and also printers.

Cant figure out what is the problem

Can someone help me please?

I dont Know if it may be helpfull, but i can make a sucessefull connection
using Microsoft SQL Management Studio Express, using windows autentication,
from the computer that has the problem with the server, to the server using
the user that i am trying to use to acess the BCM remote database.

So the problem is only when i try to use the BCM, that reports that the
password is diferent, when in fact is the same paswor, i already tried simple
passwords and complicated passwords but the problem still remain.

First try running BCM as admin on the client and see if that resolves
the problems.

If sql studio can connect, then there's likely a problem in how BCM
itself checks the user name and password.

If there's no difference in the user and password on the two machines--
same case, same everything--try creating a new user, on both the
client and server machines. Then on the server, logged in as the
database owner, make the new user a shared user of the database. On
the client, login as the new user, run Outlook (you don't need to
connect to an email server) and in the BCM wizard, select the server
and shared database.

If the new user works, then there's something amiss about that orginal
user's credentials.
