Local Network places icons show in internet pane in network places

Hi, I have a network of 4 xp machines with ICS enabled via an adsl modem on
one machine.

I have noticed that on 2 of the machines, when displaying network places
that the icons are displayed in the INTERNET Pane of the window, not in the
LOCAL NETWORK pane where they should be.

I have noticed that programs running from the shortcuts within the internet
pane are incredibly slow.

Has any one any ideas or could point me in the right direction?
