Anybody have a site for an up to date driver
for an HPDeskjet 3050 that runs on mandriva
2010-2 ???

You need a PPD file;
Googling on '"Deskjet 3050" HP PPD' might help;

Thanks Rob but I think installing a PPD is way over
my ability.

Just download it and tell cups to use it.
Cups has a GUI installer for this sort of things.

I just discovered that it also has a scanner. This is probably why a lot
of people refer to hplip. EG;

This page is even Mandriva specific;
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web.../mandriva.html

Maybe Mandriva supplies hplip as well. In which case you can use the
Mandria installer.
