I can not attach to the web configuration page of the
router. 192.168.1.1. The router has assigned IP
Addresses and IPConfig shows the router as the default
gateway. I use PPPOE and need to tell the router that.

Any Ideas?

Can you ping the router from your PC?
If so, then try http://192.168.1.1 and you should see the password prompt.
If not, close IE and try again.
