Linking Outlook Business manager with access

I want to link an access database to the contacts listing in outlook business
manager, this idea being to maintain a single datasource. I know how to link
access to outlook however I need each entry to be numbered with a unique
number. I have discovered that outlook cannot provide an auto numbering
facility. Is there any way that Access can allocate an auto number or primary
key to a linked table. I am using MS office 2003 pro.

Grateful for any help.
