Keyboard won't advance slides after flash plays

I am using ppt07 and xp. After I play a flash video, I can advance the slide
by clicking the mouse, but not by using the keyboard (enter, page down/up,
tab, arrow, 'n' --- nothing seems to work).

"Advance slide on mouse click" is selected, but "Advance slide automatically
after..." is not.

I have also tried resaving the file as a pptm instead of pptx.

I am not VBA-literate, so I'm hoping there's just an adjustment I can make.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
