I have run into a problem that has left Sony's tech
support scratching their head and offering the only
possible solution to reformat the hard drive.
On a Sony Vaio laptop that recently relocated from
Orlando, FL USA to Hong Kong, the language changes from
english to Afrikaans. The change happens sometimes as
soon as I boot the computer up and sometimes after I've
been on for a while. I will change it back to english
(unfortunately I don't speak ((or type)) Afrikaans) and
it is extremely difficult to enter encrypted passwords
when instead of typing left to right, it changes to right
to left. I have run multiple virus checks with the
latest definitions and checked for spyware - all to no
avail.
I have not installed any programs and have restored the
system back to a time prior to the relocation. And the
problem persists.
Any thought or help will be GREATLY appreciated!
