Hello. I just purchased and set up the Canon i860 inkjet printer. It
connects to my computer via a USB cable. So far, the i860 works okay, but I
do have a minor question.

I turn on my computer (Dell desktop) in the morning, and turn it off
at night. Is it necessary to turn off the printer before shutting down the
computer? Or should I just leave the printer alone?

In your printer drivers, you can have it turn on and shut off
automatically. It would be a good idea to use those settings and u
dont have to worry about it.

it will turn on automatically and off automatically.

I would like to know where you purchased your i860 printer, as I have been looking
everywhere but Canon has stopped making them and they are impossible to find.
