Hi! Is anyone aware of a program that will
map a joypad to the mouse? I know there's
a buyware program, but I'd be interested to
know of a freeware alternative.

Program: Mouse on a Stick!
Betaware (free for non-commercial and commercial use)

Input Device - Click on the menu to select what joystick, game pad,
or other menu device you wish to use.
