I have posted questions regarding this earlier, but I
still can't fix my problem. I have been using your
book "Frontpage Version 2002 Inside Out" and I followed
the guidelines to create a discussion web. My problem is
that I want to add a filed titled "From" just like you
have in your example. I have gone to the Options for the
Discussion Form Handler, and in the Form fields, I have
typed "Subject From" just like is shown in your example.
After I do this, however, nothing happens to my submission
form. I still do not have a From field and I don't know
what else to try. I even started completely over and
there is no prompt for a From field. If you could help me
I would really appreciate it. thanks!

To activate this feature, you must open the "post" page
for the discussion group, right-click the form area,
choose Form properties, click Options. Then, on the
Discussion tab, select the User Name check box.

For this to work, however, the Web server must have
authenticated the Web visitor. In other words, you must
disable anonymous access to your Web site and make
visitors supply a Windows username and password.

if I'm understanding you correctly you'd have to use the self-registration
form which will only work on a non-windows server that's running fp
extensions.
IMHO
I'd go to www.hotscripts.com and find a nice .asp discussion forum that has
the features you want and put it in a fp subweb.
