Internet/LAN Settings won't 'stick'

I've got a problem that every time I reboot the LAN Settings within Internet
Options/Connections keep being reset so that they do not work. I connect
via a network router and what should be ticked is just the top box
'Automatically detect settings' and neither of the other two. What is
ticked after a reboot is the 'Proxy server' checkbox, and the other two are
unticked.

Which key in the Registry is this setting stored in so that I can change it.
Or is there some other setting I need to change to make the 'LAN settings'
stick and not change.

Many thanks

Have a look at the Reg_Dword "ProxyEnable" found at
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
