      20th Feb 2009
I have a Gateway laptop with windows vista and it suddenly stop getting
internet i try plugging the cable on my desktop and it works fine and when i
try to use the laptops wireless connection it cant find any. Thank you for ur
help

Please repost in a newsgroup dealing with Vista. This newsgroup is
for Windows XP.

Hi
Check the Wireless settings make sure that the card is On, shows in the
Device Manger and configured correctly.
This page was written for Win XP while "drilling" down to the menus is
different in Vista the principle of evaluating the Wireless system is
similar.

What about it? In your first post, you said "i try plugging the cable on
my desktop and it works fine." That sounds as if you took the cable to
the desktop and plugged it into the laptop and things worked. If that's
not what you meant, you'll have to describe your problem in more detail.
