Hi All,
I have a very interesting problem for you all (again).
I have an IBM Kiosk unit which I have created a working image (which
has been out there working for a year).
I have 2 Dell poweredge servers - identically setup in everyway- dhcp
scope, embedded stuff - everything.
The only difference between the 2 is SQL Server - one has 2000 and one
has 2005 express edition (i don't think this is the problem but this
is the only difference).
The image has not changed for a year and has been working for as long.
The hardware included in the image also has not changed.
I have connected the unit with its accompanying hardware to the 2000
SQL server and imaged it as normal and it is fine.
The problem occurs when I connect it to the SQL 2005 server and image
it. On reboot after the image has installed, a Found new hardware
wizard window appears but says it cannot install hardware (usb serial
port) and also says "the service database is locked".
We have never had this issue before and as I say nothing has changed
in the software or hardware.
I have no idea what the problem could be and i've never seen the error
before.
If anyone else has seen it then Help!!! Please.
Lucy.
