What started this whole mess is that Disney was about to lose copyright
protection for Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. You can bet, when this
occurs again, that the copyright laws will be extended for even more
years. I don't really have a problem with protecting these properties
for Disney. What I do have a problem with is the cost of this to our
culture.
