Installed Win Xp but can't get Epson 740 printer to work... help!

's Computer Specifications

I used the drivers provided by software on XP, that didn't work. seemed to
recognize lpt1 port, but nothing printed

Also downloaded win 2000 driver heard people had luck with that, but that
didn't help..

Did you uninstall any Windows9x drivers that might still be on your
system....
