I tried installing a game, but during the installation
during the setting up guide for the game an error occurs.
It says:

"Program Error: _INS5576._MP.exe has generated errors and
will be closed by windows. You will need to restart
program"

What should I do to fix my problem?

Jamie,
Can you tell us what game you were trying to install when you got this
error.
Also if you could post your duding.txt that would help
duding:
Click on Start -> Run and type 'duding in the run box, then click 'Ok'.
When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appears click the 'Save All
Information' button, which will create a text file on your system where you
specify, as in My Documents or Desktop. Open that text file, copy the
contents and paste it to a reply.

Hi Jamie.

I am experiencing the exact same error, while trying to
download and install drivers for my soundcard. This is a
Windows Installer issue with Win 2000. There is a patch
available through your Windows updater...the "fix" has not
worked for me yet, but it might for you...give it a try.
These problems apparently started after the last Windows
Critical Update was done.

Hope that helps you a bit. By the way, if you know how to
repair Windows Installer for 2000, let me know, I have to
have my SoundCard working ASAP. Thank you!
