Dear support group,
When I try to install msas the install stops with error:
"Error 1325.favorites is not a valid short file name.
" I have seen kb article 328162 which points to KB article
290301 which details Windows Installer CleanUp Utility .
When I try to install the cleanup utility I get the same
error as before: "Error 1325.favorites is not a valid
short file name."
Any suggestions on how to proceed ?
I am running XP pro with all latest MS fixes.

I noticed that my favorites were missing in IE.
The solution was here:

this also solved my msas install problem.
