I wish to perform incremental backups on a weekly basis,
only backing up files that are Modified or Created within
a range of dates.

When I use File Search to locate all files modified in
the last 3 days, the search includes entire folders and
their contents, where some of the files in those folders
are new, and others are old.

How can I specify a search that gives me:
- newly created folders and their contents
- newly created files
- recently modified files

but NOT old folders that have old files?

I explored the Backup utility but I cannot deduce how to
use if for incremental backups such as this.

Thanks,
- Leslie

Your solution is to buy a third party backup application. Neither Search nor
ntbackup was designed to perform incremental backups.

I highly Reccomend "Second Copy"

It can be set for various backup profiles and has an excellent scheduler.
