IEEE 1394 Host Controller problem (Firewire)

Not sure if anyone can help, but what it is, is that I have a small
footprint pc which has all sorts of connections including the above.
Yesterday for no apparent reason it failed. In Device Manager it states
Code 10 the host controller cannot start. I did what it said in the trouble
shooter and deleted the drivers and then ran the Hardware wizard, which
picked it up and installed, but I still have the same problem. Does anyone
have any other options that I could try in order to get this thing to
work.!!

TIA
