hello. my computer boots normaly to the desktop, sometimes wallpaper shows, sometimes not.. but then a window comes up. "explorer" "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" . details = "explorer caused an invalid page fault in module OLE32.DLL at 017F:7ff2la32 . clicking close only flashes the screen and its back to this window. the only thing that works is the mouse. can't even shut it down, i just turn the power off.

i always use MOZILA. but the wife used the computer while i was at work. and she used IE (she doesn't use the computer much). and somehow this issue came up.

what i would like to do. is get it to where i can save some pictures, bookmarks, and email address's. then reformat.

what are my options ?

450mmx, 98se, dialup. i know its old. but when it works right, its all i need.

thanx for any info
