Just recently, my HP 5610 all in one printer started hanging when I
attempt to make copies. The display says "Copying", but nothing
happens.
Printing and faxing still work. Sometimes I can coax the machine into
copying by disconnecting the USB cable from my desktop.
Sometimes, the printer causes an error box to pop up on my computer
saying "Scanner failure". I don't know if this is related to the copy
hangs.
Unfortunately, the printer is out of warranty. Is there a way to get
it back to normal working order, or will I need to buy a new printer?
