Hi,

I have just added a new laptop to an existing home LAN using ICS. The
internet connection works fine, The XP home laptop can see the other 2
PCs in Network Neighbourhood and in the Workgroup areas and can access
their files via any installed software. The new XPPro laptop likewise.
The problem is with the XPPro desktop which is also the main host
machine : although it can see the XPHome laptop and access its files, it
can only see the new XPPro laptop in Network Neighbourhood and in the
Workgroup areas but can not access its files via Word etc., ie no
network shortcuts exist. I thought it was a firewall problem (I use a
third party program) but after turning it off, I see no difference.
Netbios over TCP is enabled on all machines. Wierd. I've tried disabling
simple file sharing, no luck.

I've ran Browstat and got the following result :

Status for domain /all on transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{CC329325-7BE7-41A5-ACC1-221C90F81080}
Browsing is NOT active on domain.
Master name cannot be determined from GetAdapterStatus.

So there's a problem somewhere. Can anyone suggest a
solution ?

Thanks
