When I upload files to my web server, the changes are made on the site, but
the actual file on the server is not updated until later. So then if
somebody else accesses the file and makes a change, the files is reverted
back because the file is not changed. I tried this on multiple pcs,
dreamweaver, ftp programs and even through the http.
It has something to do with the cache on the server. I even tried to make
the change, post it back. Then I had another person with a different ip,
ftp it down, and the change was never made in the file - yet the web page
was updated. - proving it is the server.

I have found this similar post and it seems others have had this problem:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...abd8561108006e

This is a serous problem and my hosting company says it is me. I access
many other asp hosts running the iis and there is NO problems ever.

I tried to find this bug on microsoft but could not find it.
I think they are running windows server 2003.

What can I do?
Please help

Not much. The described behavior is at the host, and you don't
control the host. Best you can do is delete the file then upload the
new one.

Make sure it really is happening, and that it isn't your side caching
the file.

Hello Jeff

Thanks for writing.
This problem is at the host and I do have some control on the hosting
company. So what settings can I tell them to fix. I believe this is at the
host and not me. I ftp to monstercommerce hosting and nooo problems at all.
They are also asp. Also to two other asp hosts and nothing.

Please advise on what I can do. This is not my end.
Thanks
