Playing back a large video file (eg 5 hours) that has been recorded from TV
using the .vcr format is problematic in that Fast Forwarding through the
file gives unreliable results. After approximately the first 30 minutes,
attempts to Fast Forward through sometimes does not display the correct
point on the file, will sometimes 'rapid search' from the beginning and
sometimes just get stuck, until you press "Play" a few times and cycle
between 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 speeds.
This problem makes the playback of longer recorded programmes almost
impossible to watch unless you just Play from start to end.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
