All the world aside, Iran alone and on itself has blocked half of the
internet, including many "moral" and useful websites, mainly because of its
medieval policies. The level of filtering has doubled in the elections days,
in a way that many of the following websites have been unbelievably blocked
by the Iranian telecommunication center:
This is the recent list:

-- Google cashes (completely)
-- all women rights web sites
-- many online community website like orkut.com , gazzag.. (that provide a
way to talk freely with others...)
-- Yahoo messenger!! (i haven't accessed it since three days ago)
-- many of modeling websites
-- almost most sites around fashion, clothes ....(event eBay in some ISPs!)
-- Many blogging websites, some with their entire domain being blocked...
-- Many anonymizer website....
....
And millions of other website that have specific words in their html
pages... (almost 80 percent of them are blocked by "smart Filter")

Event using "Tochnet" browser with the latest proxy servers doesn't solve
the problem.

How can i connect to the world? I really need to access my legitimate
content on the Internet which is neither pornography nor political threads.
I think "Microsoft news groups" are the only place on the planet that these
"Apes" haven't reached yet.

Please help me with anything you know about passing these strict filters
thought any browser....
Thanks in advance.

Him,

Why not try to learn another language by instance Danish, Swedish, Norge,
Finish or Dutch.

I can assure you that in those languages about everything is written and
probably it is not easy to block.

:-))

Just my thought,

Cor

If it's a DNS based block, and not an IP address filter, you can manually
resolve addresses yourself.
AllNetTools: <http://216.92.207.177/toolbox>
DNSStuff: <http://69.2.200.183/>

This won't help for:
# Content distributed (Akamai based) services.
# Websites that share IP addresses.
# Anything not browser based (or that you can't find where to input the IP
address).
But maybe it's a start?

Thanks and no!
Here we have the most advances web filtering in the world, which has been a
challenge for both Iranian and a group of American hackers to break through
it. It is not simply DNS blocking, the main filtering is done based on ip
addresses typed directly into your IE or other browsers (Google cash is
blocked by its ip address).
I have many proxy servers with different port numbers here, but non of them
works. Besides, we are dealing with this heck, "smart filter" , which
swallows each requested page on the ISP's server and if it is content is
qualified, it is given back to the client.

( i have written some c# programs that take an ip address, use my own tcp
server on a third party computer, and get their request through that server,
but i was not so successful...)

Hi,
Him, still there? Any success?
If yes, please post and share with others.
Also, could you direct your trustable Iranian friends or anyone who worked
on this issue to:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.proxy ?
Mfunkmann! Would you please go through details?
I wish Microsoft's MVPs came up with the solution.
Anybody knows how to ask Microsoft to add a new Newsgroup?
You may accept my gratitude,
Bye
