I was trying to put the DB on a 2nd machine and save space on my development
box. It seemed like you could do that with embedded xp tools, but you
cleared that up for me. I guess if I had a full ms-sql server install I
could do that. I didn't see this limitation of MSDE spelled out anywhere.
Maybe its in the fine print.
Thanks again for clearing up the issue. It all works as advertised when you
put everything on one system.
