I have windows Xp Pro installed. For several monts have
have had 2 40gig hard drives installed and have been able
to view both of them. They are listed in the CMOS, device
manager and my computer. On Sun July 13 that changed now
i can see both HD in the CMOS and Device manager but not
in my computer. Windows XP does not see the drive. I have
tried unstalling the drive as well as the trouble
shooting tree. ("NO JOY"). the drive is not listed in
Admin Tools/Computer management/Storage/Disk management.

Can someone please help

Is it listed in the Device Manager AND without any sort of warning marks(i.e.
Red X or Yellow exclamation)? If device manager does not see it, then Disk
Management definitely won't see it.

it listed in the Device Manager and without any sort of
warning marks(i.e. Red X or Yellow exclamation) Ther are
no conflicts with the drive. right clicking/properties
shows "this device is working fine.
