Then Kevin replied below:
: Hi,
:
: My problem is, I had ask my ISP to add an MX record onto the DNS. But
: I had already got another MX record.
:
: e.g.
:
: abc.edu.hk 398 MX10 mail.abc.edu.hk
: abc.edu.hk 398 MX10 intranet.abc.edu.hk
:
: host mail.abc.edu.hk can sent mail out, but not received.
: host intranet.abc.edu.hk is down.
:
: I want the mail message gone to mail.abc.edu.hk, do I needed to
: change the 10? or is the a way I can do at my end without involve the
: ISP?
:
: Thank,
Remove the MX record that points to the mail server host name that has the
private address (intranet.abc.edu.hk). MX records are not needed for
internal Mail servers. Having it in there is the problem.
