This is a "hack" that makes The GIMP look little more like Photoshop

Sounds like it has possibilities. I am going to have to look at this a bit

it seems to make the GIMP interface slightly more like that of a
standard Windows program, while not entirely masking the GIMP's open
source, Linux-ish roots. However, anyone expecting GIMPshop to be a
Photoshop clone will probably be disappointed.
